Academy of International Studies:
CREC's Academy of International Studies seeks a Long Term Substitute certified teacher for eleventh grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must be team oriented, self-directed,, literacy and numeracy instruction and assessment. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans using the district's curricula, providing instruction to students, participating on school-level/grade
  • level teams, and attending any parent/teacher conferences or required evening events/meetings.
Candidates must be able to implement effective teaching strategies and utilize data to inform instruction and be able to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Requirements:
College Degree and relevant CT Teaching Certification. Prior teaching experience in the primary grades preferred. Strong classroom management skills are required. Candidates must have knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for literacy and mathematics. Experience working with a diverse population and or other proactive positive approaches to discipline preferred. Salary per CREC teacher contract. Position is for the 2026-2027 school year.
