Quinebaug Middle College (QMC) is a unique early college high school located on the campus of Quinebaug Valley Community College, offering students the opportunity to earn college credits while completing their high school diploma.

Position Summary:

EASTCONN

is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Math Teacher to join the faculty at QMC starting in the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will inspire and support a diverse group of high school students in developing strong mathematical skills, critical thinking abilities, and confidence in problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Integrate technology and real-world applications into lessons Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and student success Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred) Valid Connecticut teaching 029 certification in Mathematics (Grades 7-12) Experience teaching at the secondary level; early college or dual enrollment experience is a plus Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning
