Teachers' Contract Qualifications:

Must hold CT Teaching Certificate in Mathematics Grades 7-12 Must understand best practices in instruction and assessment for students demonstrating gaps in learning. Ability to utilize technology to support instruction. Possesses exceptional communication skills and has a proven track record of working collaboratively with colleagues, administrators and families.

Responsibilities:

Collaborates with building and district administration to design, implement, and improve school-based MTSS processes. Collects and analyzes data to monitor the effectiveness of MTSS Tier I, II and III math interventions. Consults with and provides coaching to mathematics teachers on effective implementation of MTSS Tier 1 support strategies. Delivers push-in support within classrooms to reinforce learning in real time. Provides pull-out targeted support to students identified through the MTSS process as eligible for math services in individual and/or small group settings. Analyzes PSAT math data to identify areas of need, form targeted student groups, and provide focused instruction to help improve math SAT performance.
