Job Summary Recently retired Middle school Math/Science Teacher? Looking to work with middle school students again in a loving environment. Small classes, students eager to learn, loving and caring Catholic school environment. Approved curriculum. Hands on Science and Math instruction Supportive school community Growth mindset. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in math and science, including topics such as algebra, geometry, basic mathematics Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive environment that encourages student participation and collaboration and growth Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, standardized testing , and regular feedback sessions. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development Incorporate laboratory experiments, based on curriculum Provide academic advising and mentorship to students while supporting their social-emotional development. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral observations in compliance with educational regulations. Engage with parents and guardians through conferences or communication channels to discuss student progress and address individual needs Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Science or related fields Proven experience teaching middle school students in math and science disciplines Strong knowledge of mathematics topics including algebra, geometry problem solving . Understanding of basic Science concepts Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles. Experience implementing curriculum development strategies aligned with educational standards and regulations. Proficiency in integrating IT tools into lessons for enhanced student engagement and learning outcomes. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, parents, and administrative staff.
