Job Description

Pathway Schools, a unique soccer specialized private school that combines education with students' passion for sports, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our team. As a high school teacher at Pathway Schools, you will have the opportunity to work with student athletes in grades 9-12, fostering their academic growth while supporting their athletic pursuits. We are looking for individuals who can maintain accountability, build strong relationships with students, and contribute to our family-oriented staff environment. Key Highlights of the
Position:
Small class sizes with a 1:15 teacher-student ratio Support from a teacher's assistant 3-hour planning period provided Minimal lesson planning required Regular monthly/weekly teacher meetings for professional development Health insurance benefits Paid time off Family-oriented staff culture Opportunities for personal and professional growth Curriculum autonomy to tailor lessons to student needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Teaching certification in Science or Math Experience working with high school students and athletes Strong communication and interpersonal skills Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the high school math curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and engagement.
  • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support and tutoring to students who may need additional assistance in math concepts.
  • Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
  • Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and assignments, and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources for improving student outcomes.
  • Stay current on educational trends and best practices in math instruction to continuously enhance teaching strategies.
