Academic Principal Position Summary:
Potential Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to inspire students in grades 6-8 to develop strong mathematical skills and critical thinking abilities within a Christ-centered learning environment. The ideal candidate will integrate biblical principles with academic instruction while creating engaging lessons that challenge and support students at varying skill levels. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging math instruction for middle school students (Grades 6-8) aligned with curriculum standards. Teach core math concepts such as pre-algebra, algebraic reasoning, fractions, ratios, problem solving, and mathematical reasoning. Create lesson plans, assessments, and activities that promote critical thinking and real-world application of math skills. Integrate Christian values and biblical worldview into daily instruction and classroom culture. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents. Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and collaboration. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements. Participate in school events, faculty meetings, chapel services, and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to support student success and school initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required). Florida teaching certification or ability to obtain certification preferred. Experience teaching middle school math preferred. Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Commitment to Christian education and the mission of Potential Christian Academy. Ability to integrate faith and learning in the classroom. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
