This full-time, exempt position begins in August and runs through early June (190 days). Course work may include Algebra I & Personal Finance, utilizing the Understanding by Design model for curriculum planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and rigorous math instruction to students. Utilize a 75-minute teaching period (every other day rotation) for effective lesson planning and instruction. Foster student growth through interactive learning and collaboration with colleagues. Utilize the CANVAS learning management system to track student progress and maintain communication with parents. Opportunities to participate in extracurricular opportunities are available Contribute to the school's academic community.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Commitment to supporting the mission of the school. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Education required, master's preferred. Minimum of two years of high school teaching experience preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff. Ability to instruct students in higher level math courses Certified or eligible for Florida teacher certification within two years. Must pass a criminal background check, complete drug screening, reference checks and meet E-Verify requirements.
