Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Math Teacher to inspire students and foster a love for mathematics across various grade levels. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons, develop comprehensive curricula, and utilize innovative learning technologies to enhance student understanding. Your expertise will help students build critical thinking skills, solve complex problems, and succeed academically. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds and contribute to a vibrant educational community. Candidates should have evening and daytime availability to serve students in person in the Palmetto and Parrish area. The ideal candidate can support learners in mathematics grade k-12. Duties Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, covering topics such as algebra 1, algebra 2 and geometry. Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and formative assessments; provide timely feedback to support growth. Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment. Mentor and support students individually or in groups through tutoring sessions and one on one instruction. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and educational research initiatives. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance data for administration. Skills Strong knowledge of mathematics including algebra 1, algebra 2 and geometry. Experience in curriculum development and instructional design tailored to diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Classroom management expertise to create an organized and motivating environment conducive to learning. Experience working with students of varying abilities. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques to prepare students for assessments. Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
