Summary of Position :
Carrollton Public Schools is seeking a caring, certified Mathematics Teacher who demonstrates a strong commitment to student learning and academic growth. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience in teaching through a holistic approach that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all learners. This position requires an educator who understands and effectively applies principles of cooperative learning and is familiar with the Michigan Standards of Quality for teaching.

Per the Carrollton Education Association Master Agreement. Years of Experience Taken into Consideration for Salary Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and adapt instructional plans, strategies, materials, and techniques that meet the diverse needs of individual students Be responsible for all instructional activities within the classroom, ensuring alignment with district and state standards Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of adolescent learners and effective instructional practices Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and support student growth Apply knowledge of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) processes and participate in ongoing professional learning and refinement of practice Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as required Communicate effectively and meet with parents/guardians during scheduled conferences and as needed Collaborate effectively as part of a professional team Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student, parent, and staff information Promote and maintain a positive, respectful, and professional school climate at all times Demonstrate proficiency in the use of instructional technology Cooperate with students, staff, administrators, and community members to support student success Ensure a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment for all students Greet and interact with visitors in a positive and helpful manner
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and current daily lesson plans Demonstrate appropriate and professional telephone etiquette Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Show willingness to participate in and support after-school activities and school events
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with Mathematics (EX) 6-12 endorsement Additional endorsements preferred, but not required Demonstrated ability to work effectively with high school and at-risk student populations Experience supporting students across a wide range of academic abilities Must satisfactorily pass: Must receive a satisfactory response to 4205-F Authorization for Release of Information and Employee History Check Under 1996 P.A.189 of 1996; MCL380.1230b. Law enforcement background checks with fingerprinting. Personal and professional reference background check.
