The ideal candidate will be committed to student success, data-driven instruction, and creating an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment. This individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality math instruction, supporting students in developing critical thinking skills, and fostering a love for mathematics. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Key Responsibilities Develop and implement rigorous, standards-aligned lesson plans that engage students in mathematical thinking and problem-solving. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Utilize data to drive instruction and assess student progress. Foster a classroom culture that encourages student collaboration, perseverance, and a growth mindset. Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices that reflect and celebrate the diverse backgrounds of students. Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for all students. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student learning and achievement. Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve instructional practices. Contribute to a positive school culture and work collaboratively with staff to support school-wide initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree Experience teaching middle school students in an urban or charter school setting preferred. Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and best practices in math instruction. Commitment to culturally responsive teaching and a student-centered approach. Excellent classroom management, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction.
