Job Description

The University Laboratory School seeks qualified candidates for the position of secondary Mathematics Teacher.

Minimum Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in subject area or related field Knowledge of and experience in effective classroom management, student-centered learning, and cooperative instructional strategies Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to students, parents, administration, teachers, and the community in a professional manner Possess a valid State of Hawaii Teaching License in mathematics or Hawaii State Teacher License must be earned within three (3) years of employment.

Desirable Qualifications:

Master's degree in subject area or related field Experience teaching in an educational research environment Extensive experience in teaching in a multicultural and diverse learning environment Experience teaching heterogeneously grouped classes
