Teaching Full Job Description SUMMARY:

North Star Charter School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered, and highly motivated High School Math Teacher to join our education team. The ideal candidate will create engaging and rigorous learning experiences that support student achievement while fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and academic growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with state standards and curriculum goals Provide individualized, small-group, and whole-class instruction to adapt curriculum to the needs of each student Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver services in the least restrictive environment Translate lesson plans into meaningful learning experiences that maximize instructional time and student engagement Establish and maintain standards of student behavior necessary to create a productive and respectful learning environment Evaluate student academic and social growth, maintain accurate records, and prepare progress reports Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and school programs Identify student needs and collaborate with staff members to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth Create an effective classroom environment through engaging displays, instructional supports, and organized learning spaces Maintain professional competence through district professional development and self-selected growth opportunities Participate cooperatively with administration in the teacher evaluation process in accordance with district guidelines Select and requisition instructional materials and maintain required inventory records Supervise students in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned workday Administer standardized assessments in accordance with district testing programs Participate in curriculum development and school improvement initiatives as required Participate in faculty committees, school events, and sponsorship of student activities Qualifications Idaho Teacher Certification Bachelor's degree required in area of major study Teaching or student teaching experience at the appropriate grade level Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Ability to engage diverse learners and adapt instruction to meet varied student needs Application Process To apply for a teaching position at North Star Charter School, please submit a resume, cover letter, and three professional references to:
