Adjunct Math Instructor for Spring 2027 Description Southeastern Illinois College is seeking qualified applicants for an Adjunct Mathematics Instructor to teach college-level and/or developmental mathematics courses for Spring 2027. Course load could include online, hybrid or traditional in-person classes. Essential Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction in assigned mathematics courses.
- Prepare and deliver instruction consistent with approved course outlines, learning outcomes, and departmental expectations.
- Develop and utilize appropriate instructional materials and assessments.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records.
- Provide timely feedback and communicate effectively with students.
- Participate in required college and departmental activities, including professional development and assessment activities.
- Support a student-centered learning environment that promotes student success and engagement. Qualifications For developmental mathematics courses, applicants must have a bachelor's degree with a secondary education math endorsement; For transfer-level mathematics courses, applicants must have:
- A master's degree in Mathematics; OR
- A master's degree in another discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics.
Applicants must possess appropriate academic credentials and demonstrated knowledge and/or teaching competency in the subject area. Degrees must be from an appropriately accredited institution or otherwise meet applicable state and institutional requirements. Salary $515 per credit hour.
