Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125 is a five-time US Department of Education Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and serves a large diverse community of professional and adolescent learners. Students are of diverse backgrounds and cultural heritages and bring as assets their diversity of thought, beliefs, goals, and needs to the learning environment. In this, the Mathematics Division is proud of its progressive and rigorous construction of curriculum and team-based collaboration that serves diverse learners. Exceptional candidates have experience mentoring and helping multilingually-assisted students develop literacy within a mathematics classroom, build a shared sense of belonging, and accelerate learning to help students achieve outcomes. Key pedagogical skills include using standards-based grading models, classroom instructional differentiation, integration of instructional technology, instruction through the lens of social-emotional learning, classroom engagement through tasks & discourse, and the design of inclusive classrooms honoring the diversity of ability, heritage, and beliefs.

Qualifications:
Qualified applicants must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL) with secondary Mathematics endorsement. Preference will be given to candidates who also hold an ESL endorsement.
