Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Math Instructional Coach and Interventionist
LICENSURE
Current Illinois Elementary Professional Educator License (PEL)
ENDORSEMENT
Preferable:
Middle School Mathematics
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead district-level curriculum work Lead district-level professional development for staff to build the expertise in best practices of math instruction Lead the development of formative assessments to assist PLCs in prioritizing learning Lead building-level PLC conversations at all grades Support both individual and organizational change processes Activate emotional intelligence and emotional resilience in self and others Engage in reflective, non-judgemental questioning and active listening Facilitate teacher's reflection on his/her own classroom practices Apply a broad base of analog and digital communication skills and strategies Develop professional learning resources for a range of audiences and scales Have excellent communication skills that include empathy and listening in order to build relationships and trust Position teachers as partners to employ high impact actions within the coaching cycle Curate resources and ideas to inspire and support differentiated growth Model flexibility and adaptability with ideas, resources, contexts, and situations Strong ability to use formative and summative data to diagnose and intervene to support student needs Understanding of MTSS and steps needed to be taken to build a successful MTSS system Works with staff and principal to provide math interventions Provides additional math interventions and coaching as assigned by building principal
Terms of Employment:
A normal 182 day teaching contract Teacher on Special Assignment will be evaluated by the building principal
