The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching, a strong foundation in math concepts, and a commitment to nurturing young learners' curiosity and confidence. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, covering topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies. Utilize innovative learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and formative assessments; provide timely feedback. Develop individualized learning plans and offer tutoring or mentoring to support diverse learning needs. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational best practices. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and participation; prepare reports for parents and administration. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred. Proven classroom experience with middle school students, especially in teaching math subjects such as algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Strong knowledge of math concepts including calculus, differential equations, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, cell biology, and research laboratory experience is a plus for interdisciplinary integration. Excellent communication skills to effectively work with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Demonstrated ability in lesson planning, instructional design, research-based teaching methods, and standardized testing preparation. Experience working with students with special education needs or behavior management challenges is advantageous. Familiarity with educational technology tools and library services to support instruction. Private school or Montessori experience is desirable but not required; commitment to ongoing professional development is essential.
