Position Overview SENSE Charter School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 6th Grade Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a structured, engaging, and student-centered classroom environment that promotes high academic achievement and social-emotional growth. This teacher will deliver rigorous instruction aligned to state standards using CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) for literacy and Ready Mathematics (Curriculum Associates) for math. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction in all core subject areas, with a strong emphasis on literacy and mathematics Implement CKLA curriculum with fidelity to build students' reading, writing, and knowledge across content areas Utilize Ready Mathematics to provide data-driven, differentiated math instruction Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of students Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative learning Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and leadership to improve instructional practices Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives Support the school's mission by promoting character development and community involvement Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Valid state teaching license or ability to obtain Strong classroom management and organizational skills Commitment to equity, inclusion, and high expectations for all students Excellent communication and collaboration skills What We're Looking For A belief that all students can achieve at high levels A growth mindset and willingness to continuously improve A team player who contributes positively to school culture Someone who brings energy, structure, and consistency to the classroom
