The Opportunity:

PLA Instructional Coaches (IC) are passionate and devoted leaders who bring creativity and rigor to our classrooms by providing support to our educators. As an instructional coach, you will be responsible for supporting the improvement of classroom instruction across the campus. The IC will work with our educators to provide individual coaching, will support teachers in utilizing data to drive instruction, and is responsible for identifying and coordinating the needed professional development to support the success of our staff. PLA leaders strongly believe in every scholar's ability to succeed, and they work tirelessly to create a school experience that fosters success.

Meaning Experience and Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university; Master's degree, preferred Valid State Teacher License with a Literacy Endorsement High proficiency in grade-level standards, benchmarks, and curriculum Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction

The Campus:

Higher Institute of Arts and Technology (HIAT) is the first A-rated charter school located in Merrillville, IN. HIAT serves over 200 students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. We provide an outstanding educational experience in Arts and Technology. HIAT transitioned into the old S.S Peter & Paul Catholic school located at 5861 Harrison St, Merrillville, IN. Compensation and benefits:

PLA School Leaders receive a base salary that is competitively aligned to the market.
