Job Summary:
To provide effective standards-based instruction and promote student engagement with content, with peers, and with the school community. This responsibility includes preparation and planning, implementing effective teaching strategies; and developing and maintaining effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Support the school and district mission and vision 2. Implement Board of Education and administrative polices, Indiana law and federal rules, regulations, and directives. 3. Teach district approved curriculum consistent with Indiana State Standards and School expectations. 4. Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter. 5. Develop and implement effective lesson plans and use effective instructional strategies that promote student engagement. 6. Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress. 7. Use data to inform instruction. 8. Manage student conduct to maintain a safe environment conducive to learning. 9. Maintain accurate, complete, correct, and timely records of student achievement and attendance. 10. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with school personnel, students, and parents.
