High School Math Teacher

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our educational team at Pratt High School. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics and foster critical thinking skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing high-quality instruction and support to students, ensuring they achieve their academic goals and are prepared for future challenges. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and state standards. Teach a variety of math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus, to students in grades 9-12. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and faculty regarding student performance and progress. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that promote student engagement. Support students in developing problem-solving skills and a growth mindset towards learning mathematics. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for high school level. Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and ability to teach various math subjects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff. Ability to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment. Experience with differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching and assessment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to fostering a positive school culture and promoting student success. Previous teaching experience in a high school setting is preferred but not required.
