Job Description
Summary Caldwell County Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated math teacher to join our team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, inspire students to develop a love for mathematics, and support their academic growth. This position requires a commitment to promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills while ensuring that all students are engaged and motivated to learn. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and contribute to school-wide initiatives. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mathematics education and pedagogy. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments. Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through interactive and hands-on learning experiences. Implement technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Uphold school policies and procedures while fostering a respectful and safe learning environment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school level. Experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level is preferred. Strong knowledge of math curriculum and instructional strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment.
