Job Description

Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Math Teacher specializing in Algebra I! This full-time, onsite contract position is perfect for an experienced educator passionate about making a meaningful difference in high school students' lives. You'll deliver engaging mathematics instruction, support student growth, and mentor learners as they master essential Algebra I concepts. The assignment runs through May 2027, providing stability and the chance to build lasting relationships within the school community.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Current Louisiana Math Educator Certificate authorizing instruction at high school grade levels Prior experience teaching Algebra I or similar math subjects strongly preferred Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or Mathematics Proven classroom management skills and ability to foster a positive learning environment Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Organized, dependable, and able to adapt to technology or curriculum updates
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive Algebra I instruction to high school students, following established curriculum Develop lesson plans tailored to student needs and learning goals Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback and support Maintain accurate records, including grades, attendance, and assessments Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and parents to ensure academic success Uphold school policies and standards of professionalism at all times This contract role offers the opportunity to directly impact student achievement within a supportive environment. The position is full time, 35 hours per week, and the assignment extends through the end of May 2027 for consistency and professional growth.
