We are seeking a dedicated educator to serve as a full-time Math Teacher, specializing in Algebra I at the high school level. This contract assignment is onsite, offering the chance to work closely with students and make a meaningful difference each day. This opportunity runs from now through the end of May 2027, and you'll be immersed in a supportive environment focused on educational excellence.
Qualifications:
Valid Louisiana Math Educator Certificate, authorized for high school mathematics instruction Proven expertise in teaching general math concepts and specifically Algebra I Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families Previous experience teaching in a secondary school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and standards-based Algebra I instruction Create a classroom environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth Assess student learning and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices Maintain clear documentation of grading, attendance, and student progress Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required
