This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love for mathematics, develop comprehensive lesson plans, and support students' academic growth across various math disciplines. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student success, ensuring that every learner reaches their full potential through engaging instruction and innovative teaching methods. Duties Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in areas such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and differential equations. Deliver clear and motivating instruction to diverse student populations, including those requiring special education accommodations. Utilize learning technology tools to enhance classroom engagement and facilitate interactive learning experiences. Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, tests, standardized assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support improvement. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and school-wide initiatives to improve educational outcomes. Mentor students academically and personally through tutoring sessions, academic advising, and guidance on standardized testing preparation. Skills Strong knowledge of mathematics topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, organic chemistry (for interdisciplinary applications), biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, and scientific research methods. Proven experience in classroom management and behavior management strategies that foster respectful and productive learning environments. Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts to students of varying abilities and backgrounds. Proficiency with educational technology tools for lesson planning, instructional delivery, and student assessment. Ability to develop innovative curricula tailored to diverse learning styles while maintaining high academic standards. Experience with higher education teaching practices or private school settings is a plus. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, proofreading materials, and managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. Knowledge of laboratory experience or research laboratory practices related to science courses is advantageous for integrated STEM instruction.
