Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Walpole Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Math Interventionist, effective August 31, 2026, for the 2026-2027 school year.Job Description:
Provide leadership for the school's mathematics program Support professional learning by training and supporting teachers and ESPs with mathematics programs and equitable instructional practices through job embedded professional development Facilitate data-driven discussions in grade-level meetings, and serve as a resource for culturally responsive mathematics instruction across the school community. Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other professionals in planning instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Provide and support mathematics assessment and data analysis Provide direct instruction and intervention to students Support math instruction and intervention during intervention blocks and small group instructional times Demonstrate flexibility to address broader academic needs that may emerge occasionally through ongoing student assessment and team collaboration through the IST process Plan and facilitate district professional learning at the school and district-level in collaboration with other specialists Regularly attend professional learning communities and professional learning with other specialists Coordinate Tier 1 and Tier 2/3 mathematics support Responsible for implementing "other job-related duties" as neededRequired Qualifications:
Current elementary level DESE licensure SEI endorsement or additional license in ESL Master's Degree in Education Three or more years of recent experience teaching at the elementary level Current knowledge of research and effective practices in the areas of MA Curriculum Frameworks for Mathematics, including the content standards and standards for mathematical practice Excellent interpersonal skills and flexible, responsive work styleDesired Qualifications:
Familiarity and experience with a variety of mathematics assessments and interventions Familiarity with Bridges in Mathematics curriculum, including Number Corner and Bridges Intervention Practice administering, analyzing, and forming groups using mathematics universal screenings Experience collaborating and problem-solving with teachers. Licensed through DESE Math 1-6 Instructional/curriculum support experience Salary and benefits per the WTA Contract. (See pages 6-9 for full salary scale) DESE License Required.Position Type:
