Westbrook Middle School Westbrook Middle School is seeking a dynamic, inclusive 5th Grade Math Teacher who will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality instruction aligned with state standards and school-wide goals. This role emphasizes developing students' math skills, fostering a growth mindset, and preparing them for academic success in middle school and beyond.
Key Responsibilities include:
Design and implement engaging, targeted lessons in math. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including differentiated instruction and small group work. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student voice and critical thinking. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, literacy specialists and instructional coaches to plan and share best practices. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, classroom updates, and school events. Become a collaborative and involved member of the community in our active and diverse middle school.
