Bachelor's Degree. Current, valid Michigan teaching certificate; with endorsement in Math (EX) or Science (DX) required. Strong knowledge of secondary teaching methodology, child development, and STEAM principles. Experience with a wide range of teaching, classroom management, and assessment strategies and the ability to apply these in the secondary classroom setting. Experience in planning, preparing and delivering instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences for all students to which he or she is assigned.Duties & Responsibilities:
Understanding and willingness to differentiate instruction, as needed, for multiple learning styles and ability levels. Willing to assist in the development of curriculum and pacing of the Next Generation Science Standards and STEAM technology class. Ability and commitment necessary to develop and improve STEAM curriculum for secondary students. Willingness and ability to collaborate with classroom teachers on content area instruction and student needs. Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. Assign and grade class work, assessments and assignments. Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development including grading/responding to online discussions, contacting students via e-mail or instant messaging on a regular basis. Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law and school regulations. Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers and community. Prepare required reports on student performance and activities. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result of organizational planning.Salary & Benefits:
