Elementary Math Interventionist Pay Rate:

$16

• $18 based on experience

Schedule:

5 hrs/day,following student schedule

Position Summary:

The interventionist will meet with individual or small groups of K-5th grade students to reinforce math skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma Preferred experience working with elementary aged students Math proficiency as demonstrated by a written assessment Ability to motivate reluctant learners Ability to support the needs of all learners, including those with IEPs, 504s, or BIPs Effectively manage student behaviors during small group instruction Ability to lead small group instruction with support from classroom teachers and Elementary Math Coach Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with staff and students Ability to withstand the strain of the position Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality, with a strong record of consistent attendance. Regular and dependable presence during school hours is essential. All staff members are expected to maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward one another at all times. Responsibilities:

Work with small groups of students in grades JK

• 5, as needed on targeted skills based on AIMS Web and NWEA data results Support classroom teachers with closing the gap with students who are below grade level in math Respond to data from formative assessments that the Elementary Math Coach and Classroom Teachers will analyze and share with the paraprofessionals to determine areas of need Ability to assess students to measure growth and progress in the area of mathematics Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, and Elementary Math Coach Ability to be flexible to be able to work with multiple ages and skill levels of students Contribute to a positive school culture and climate Other responsibilities as determined by the elementary administrator Employment is contingent upon disclosure in accordance with PA-189.
