High School Math Teacher (Part-time: Calculus)

Washtenaw Christian Academy is seeking a part-time High School Mathematics teacher to teach Calculus three days per week. The ideal candidate will have a love for God, a love for students, and a desire to help students think critically, grow academically, and develop a love for learning. A strong Christian commitment is essential. Instructional Duties Teach Calculus three days per week Provide academic support to students outside regular class time as needed Adapt instruction to meet individual student learning needs Develop engaging lesson plans and units aligned with course standards Use effective instructional strategies to encourage active learning Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families Carry out additional duties as assigned Qualifications Commitment to a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ Strong understanding of effective teaching practices Knowledge of advanced high school mathematics concepts Ability to develop curriculum aligned with academic standards Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organization and classroom management Comfort using instructional technology Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field required; Master's degree in Mathematics preferred Experience & Certification Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate or eligibility for certification Experience teaching high school mathematics preferred Math major or minor with (EX) endorsement preferred
