Position Summary:

Minnesota Teaching License in Mathematics (Grades 5-8 or 5-12) Becker Middle School is seeking a strong, student-centered math educator to teach Pre-Algebra at the middle school level. This teacher builds foundational math skills, develops problem-solving habits, and prepares students for Algebra and higher-level coursework. You will work closely with a dynamic 7th grade team and a collaborative math department committed to the PLC process. Teams focus on essential standards, common assessments, and using data to improve student learning. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging Pre-Algebra instruction aligned to Minnesota Academic Standards Develop and use common assessments to monitor student progress Analyze student data and adjust instruction to ensure growth for all learners Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs Build strong relationships with students to create a positive classroom culture Communicate regularly with families about student progress Integrate technology to enhance learning and engagement Support school-wide expectations for behavior and SEL Skills & Attributes Values collaboration and contributes to a high-functioning team Builds relationships quickly and maintains high expectations Clear communicator with students, staff, and families Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities Growth mindset and willingness to reflect and improve
