Aug 14, 2026 Job Description Strafford R-VI Schools is seeking student-centered, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable teaching candidates for a Certified 1st-6th Teacher for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The successful candidate will maintain high expectations for student performance, provide engaging instruction and activities, and use strategies to encourage positive behavior in classroom management.

The candidate will:

Create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth Establish effective rapport with all students Motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each student, every day. Collaborate with staff regularly to provide support Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress, goals, and strategies for support. with colleagues and parents to support student success and well-being. Attend professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in education.
