POSITION
JoCo Teach Summer Intern
LOCATION
Various Locations SALARY:

June 8th - July 1st, 2026
REPORTS TO:
Summer School Site Director & JoCo Teach Coordinator
JOB GOALS
: The primary purpose of this position is to support the elementary summer learning teachers and students by leading and assisting in math, science, and reading instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
Must have successfully completed Teacher Cadet 1 and 2 and be in the JoCo Teach program. Working knowledge of effective methods of dealing with children. Ability to solve minor problems and follow detailed written and oral instructions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with and teach Morehead Planetarium science lessons. Serve as reading buddies to elementary students Implement math and reading questioning techniques Assist with math learning stations Adheres to established laws, policies, rules and regulations. Performs other related work as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, talking, seeing hearing, & repetitive motion.
