Sylvan Learning of Park Ridge is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Math Instructor to work with students in grades 1 through 8 . If you enjoy helping students build confidence while strengthening their math skills, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Teach elementary and middle school math in a supportive, engaging environment. Work with students in a small-group setting (maximum 3 students per instructor) using Sylvan's proven instructional programs. Motivate students while helping them master foundational math concepts, including: Number Sense Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication & Division Fractions & Decimals Ratios & Proportions Pre-Algebra Algebra Readiness Basic Geometry Build positive relationships that encourage confidence and academic success. Qualifications Strong understanding of mathematics through 8th-grade level (Pre-Algebra/Algebra I readiness). Bachelor's degree or current enrollment toward a degree in Education, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, or a related field preferred. Previous teaching, tutoring, coaching, or experience working with children is preferred. Excellent communication skills. Friendly, patient, energetic, and dependable.
