Mathematics Content Specialist (Calculus Level) Kumon Math & Reading Center of Tenalfy Tenafly, NJ Job Details Part-time $18 - $20 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Multilingual Calculus Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Algebra Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a mathematics specialist with a strong foundation in algebra, functions, and calculus. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with content up to introductory calculus (equivalent to high school calculus or first-year college level) and able to clearly explain mathematical concepts to learners. Key Responsibilities Develop, review, and refine mathematics learning materials up to calculus level Solve and verify problems involving: Algebra and polynomial manipulation Functions and graph analysis Limits and derivatives Introductory integral calculus Provide clear, step-by-step explanations suitable for student learning Identify common student errors and improve clarity of explanations Ensure accuracy and consistency across all materials Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field Strong understanding of: Algebra and equations Functions and graphs Differential calculus (limits and derivatives) Introductory integral calculus Ability to solve problems at high school to early college calculus level Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching or tutoring high school or early college mathematics Experience creating or reviewing educational content Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and intuitive manner Nice to Have Experience with curriculum development or assessment design Background in advanced mathematics coursework Multilingual communication skills Work Environment Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM; Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
