The instructor will guide students through fundamental algebraic concepts and enhance their mathematical vocabulary, ensuring they are prepared for more rigorous coursework. Key Responsibilities Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and conceptual understanding. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including problem-solving, guided practice, and real-world applications. Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to build confidence and competence. Support students in strengthening their skills in integers, fractions, decimals, graphing, linear equations, inequalities, and exponents. Collaborate with relevant faculty and academic advisors to ensure the curriculum aligns with Math 124E and Math 126E expectations. Maintain accurate attendance records and provide course-related reports as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Teaching experience in mathematics at the high school or collegiate level (preferred). Strong ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts in an accessible manner. Familiarity with instructional strategies that support diverse learners, including those with different proficiency levels. Passion for student success and academic development. Preferred Qualifications Experience in college preparatory programs or remedial math instruction. Knowledge of interactive teaching methodologies and educational technology. Ability to adapt instruction to meet students' varying needs and skill levels.
