  • This position will be at Franklin High School in the mornings and Franklin Jr.
High School in the afternoons.
General Job Description:
This individual will serve as an Instructor in the area of
FHS:
Engineering, Digital Engineering, and Principles of Engineering.
FJHS:
Gateway. This position will be at Franklin HS in the AM and Franklin JHS in the PM
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Designs meaningful and sequential instruction with relevant learning activities to meet career technical program and PLTW goals Plans and implements lessons based on established PLTW curriculum, centered on the needs and abilities of students Provides instruction to students and helps prepare them for high school curriculum and problem solving Utilizes student data to inform and design classroom instruction Promotes the program and recruits students through a variety of activities Works with program advisory committee to advance program innovations, evaluate the significance of emerging technology, create opportunities for students, and ensure program standards and activities are relevant to the needs of business and industry Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must successfully complete training for PLTW courses during the summer/fall of 2026 Willingness to problem solve in both a team and independent environment Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and technology skills Adheres to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators Maintains compliance with Board policies and other applicable procedures/guidelines Must pass a criminal background check Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License Valid Licensure by the Ohio Department of Education grades K-8, 7-12 or 9-12 (Math or Science) preferred
Salary:
Appropriate placement on the Certified Staff Salary Schedule established in the Master Agreement to be determined by education and experience.
Other Benefits:
State Teachers Retirement System, Worker's Compensation, paid sick/personal leave, partial tuition reimbursement and tax-sheltered retirement contributions. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance are offered. Some benefits are a shared cost between the employee and the Board of Education.
