This position requires a dynamic individual to teach Math at the high school level (grades 9-12). Applicants must have a working knowledge of the Math Common Core State Standards and be willing to meet the needs of all students. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Math content, as well as proven classroom management and instructional strategies. We are looking for positive teacher-student interpersonal relationship qualities.QUALIFICATIONS
Oregon Certification with Math endorsement as determined by Oregon Teacher Standards & Practices Commission. Must meet Highly Qualified standards.RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and present a program of study that meets the individual needs of students in any Math course of study. Be competent in teaching to the Common Core State Standards for Math. Instruct with an emphasis on hands-on learning methods as well as an emphasis on relevancy for Math application in the every-day world. Provide a classroom environment conducive to learning stressing responsibility and skill learning. Assess, prescribe and evaluate student performance based upon objective centered instruction through data analysis and student learning growth goals. Assess classroom work samples according to the Oregon state assessment guidelines. Work collaboratively with staff. Adhere to state, district and school policies. Communicate with parents and community on a regular basis. Be a strong student advocate and interact with positive relationships working with students. Be competent with instructional technology skills. Work on school and district curriculum committees. Carry out other assignments as designated by the principal.CONTRACT
Starting for the 2026-27 School Year. 190-day annual contract (in response to approved District calendar). Salary and full benefits per the Licensed negotiated agreement.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
