High School Math Teacher

Math Teacher (Full-Time) - 2026-27 School Year Westside Christian High School | Tigard, Oregon Westside Christian High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This position is full time . Purpose of the Position The Teacher is responsible for creating a classroom environment in which students experience growth academically, relationally, and spiritually. The successful candidate will organize and implement an instructional program that supports the mission and vision of Westside Christian High School while fostering student achievement and Christ-centered character development.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will:

Develop and implement engaging instructional practices and strategies that promote deep understanding and student growth. Utilize multiple methods of assessment to monitor progress and support rigorous learning goals. Challenge students to think critically and express their ideas through meaningful lessons and activities. Plan instruction and assess student learning in alignment with course objectives. Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and development in accordance with school policies. Collaborate with administrators, specialists, and colleagues to evaluate instructional effectiveness and pursue continuous improvement. Establish and maintain effective classroom management practices that provide a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered learning environment. Communicate expectations consistently and equitably while recognizing the unique strengths and needs of individual students. Minimum Qualifications Oregon Teaching License (Required) Successful classroom teaching experience and/or student teaching experience. Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with high school students. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. A commitment to academic excellence and student discipleship. An evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the mission and values of Westside Christian High School. Agreement with and willingness to sign the WCHS Statement of Faith.
