Job Description

Part-Time Upper School Mathematics Teacher Moravian Academy - 3.9 Bethlehem, PA Job Details Part-time 3 days ago Qualifications Student-centered approaches (student motivation techniques) Full Job Description Maybe the bells and the full course load no longer fit your life. But the moment when a student's eyes light up because Geometry suddenly makes sense? That still does. Moravian Academy is looking for a part-time Upper School Mathematics Teacher to join us at the Merle-Smith Campus, two sections, a lighter schedule, and the kind of rich student relationships that made you fall in love with teaching in the first place. What This Looks Like This is a 50% FTE role, intentionally designed for someone who wants meaningful work without the weight of a full-time schedule. You'll teach Algebra 1 and Geometry, meeting your students four times a week and holding two office hours sessions. The rest of your time is yours. At the Upper School level, this role is less about crowd management and more about real conversation, with curious, capable students who want to understand the why behind the math. You'll know their names, their learning styles, and what encourages them to take an intellectual risk. That's the work. What You Bring A Bachelor's degree(Master's preferred) in Mathematics, Education, or a related field Experience teaching secondary mathematics, including Algebra 1 and Geometry A student-centered approach and genuine enthusiasm for the subject Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues Collaborative spirit and willingness to be part of a vibrant academic community Independent school experience and comfort with educational technology are a plus, but what matters most is that you believe the best part of teaching is the student in front of you. If you're ready to bring your expertise into our classrooms, we'd love to hear from you. Send your resume, cover letter, and three references through this employment site For complete details, see this job description
