Job Description

Ignite a passion for math in young minds as a full-time 7th Grade Math Teacher for a local middle school near Media, PA. Youll provide engaging, high-quality instruction to a diverse group of students, helping them build confidence and critical problem-solving skills. This contract position, starting ASAP and running through June 10, 2027, requires an educator who thrives in an urban school environment and manages classrooms with skill and empathy.
Key Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in middle school mathematics Active teaching certification or licensure appropriate for 7th grade math, or a bachelors degree to qualify for an emergency teaching permit Prior school-based teaching experience, especially in urban settings Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention abilities Reliable transportation for daily onsite attendance Comfortable working between 8:00 AM3:15 PM (no scheduling accommodations can be made)
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver math instruction to a 7th grade caseload, onsite at the middle school Design and execute lesson plans aligned with state and district standards, using formative assessment and differentiation to meet all student needs Employ a variety of instructional strategies and resources to make math accessible and challenging Establish a structured and positive classroom environment conducive to learning Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with staff and families Participate in regular school meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning
