A Math Teacher teaches mathematics in elementary to secondary schools. Elementary school teachers focus on basic arithmetic, with some basic algebra in middle school, graduating to geometry, algebra and eventually calculus in high school.

Responsibilities:
Provide, develop, and implement a Math instructional program guided by
PA STEELS
standards for 6th through 8th grade Math students. Facilitate active learning while using relevant pedagogical practices and instructional technology to support and differentiate instruction, particularly for students with special education needs and/or English Language Learners (ELLs). Observe and evaluate student performance outcomes; monitor the progress of students' academic growth and development to improve professional practice. Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, assignments, and projects; provide appropriate and timely feedback.
Qualifications :
Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Mid-level Mathematics 7-9 certification or commensurate certification or specific science content area grade 7-12. Bachelor's degree and willingness to pursue proper certification through PA Department of Education Prior experience preferred The District retains the right to screen, interview, and hire this position prior to the closing date on the posting.
