JOB SUMMARY
Position duties include: instructing and providing remediation in Integrated Language Arts and Math. The instructor will oversee student progress, address individual needs, and coordinate activities to create a stimulating and caring classroom environment. The successful candidate will be an educator who is highly skilled and experienced in a broad range of elementary education instruction.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the progress of all students in your groups, address their individual needs, and coordinate activities to create a stimulating and caring classroom environment.
- Planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
- Instruct, monitor, and evaluate students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for educational activities.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures in accordance with the school student handbook.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's rules and disciplinary protocols.
- Encourage and monitor individual students' progress and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
- Maintain accurate, complete records of students' progress and development.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Effectively prepare and adapt the classroom for varied classroom activities.
- Assign and evaluate classwork, homework, tests, and assignments.
- Maintain rapport and communication with parents, administration, and staff
QUALIFICATIONS
