POSITION TITLE:
7-12 Math TeacherQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a bachelor's degree with appropriate Tennessee licensure and endorsement to teach mathematics in grades 9-12. A 7-12 (or 6-12) Mathematics endorsement is required.REPORTS TO
Principal and/or Secondary SupervisorTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Teachers- 10 months (200 days) with benefits
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Participate in curriculum review, development, and alignment with state standards. Implement a variety of effective, research-based instructional strategies aligned to lesson objectives. Diagnose and evaluate student abilities and academic progress in a timely and consistent manner. Monitor student performance and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs. Establish and maintain a classroom environment that is safe, orderly, and conducive to learning. Assess student achievement regularly and provide timely feedback and required progress reports. Refer students for additional support services as needed (e.g., RTI, ESL, special programs). Effectively implement district and school-level initiatives. Collaborate with department members, grade-level teams, and support staff to enhance student learning. Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality, including full participation in the instructional day and assigned duties. Perform other duties as assigned by administration.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Comply with all state statutes, school board policies, and administrative regulations. Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and other required school-related activities; attendance is expected. Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant records as required by law, district policy, and administrative guidelines. Serve on committees and participate in school improvement efforts as assigned. Remain current with best practices in instruction, curriculum, and educational technology.- Salary is based on years of experience and highest degree earned.
