What You Should Know This is a part-time, project-based opportunity for a 1099 independent contractor. Independent contractors are not eligible for employee benefits or company-sponsored insurance. Travel to assigned school sites is required. Independent contractors are responsible for their travel expenses and must provide proof of automobile liability insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 for bodily injury per person and $50,000 for property damage, or a combined single limit of at least $300,000.
