This role requires a commitment to delivering rigorous, high-quality instruction that accelerates language acquisition while developing strong biliteracy in all students. The ideal candidate is passionate about closing achievement gaps and believes all students can achieve at high levels with the right support and instruction. This educator will create a structured, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where students are actively engaged in meaningful discourse, thinking, and application in both languages. Strong classroom management, clear instructional systems, and the ability to monitor and adjust instruction based on student data are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in early childhood or elementary instruction, possess strong communication skills, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure alignment and consistency across the program. A commitment to continuous improvement, responsiveness to feedback, and urgency in meeting student and campus needs is required. This position requires a deep commitment to nurturing both the academic and social-emotional growth of students while intentionally promoting bilingualism, biliteracy, and cultural responsiveness. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of dual language learners. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment. Foster literacy education through innovative teaching methods that support both languages. Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly. Provide tutoring and mentoring to students, ensuring individualized support for their learning journey. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in dual language instruction. Engage with parents and caregivers to promote involvement in their child's education. Support students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum, through tailored instructional strategies. Incorporate learning technology into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with administration regarding educational progress. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Willing to enroll in an ACP to obtain a LOA, if you are not certified. Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in dual language or bilingual environments. Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom experience, and behavior management. Familiarity with Montessori methods or early intervention strategies is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong proofreading abilities. Experience in literacy education, math instruction, and physical education teaching is desirable. Knowledge of library services and resources that support dual language learners is beneficial. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage effectively with families from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to ongoing professional development in education administration and childhood development practices.
