Job Description
Work Schedule
- Part-time position
- Monday-Friday, after school hours 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Occasional staff meetings or training days Teacher requirements Education Requirement
- Bachelor's degree or higher (Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related field preferred) Experience Requirement
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience working with children or youth(examples: tutoring, daycare, summer camp, school aide, after-school programs) Basic Requirements
- Background check (Live Scan / fingerprint clearance)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Job Responsibilities (Duties)
- Supervise and ensure the safety of students during after-school hours
- Support students with homework and academic activities
- Manage student behavior using positive discipline strategies
- Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
- Communicate with program staff, school staff, and parents when needed
- Maintain attendance records and daily program documentation
- Follow school district or program policies and safety procedures
- Assist in organizing group activities, games, and special events
- Design and develop age-appropriate lesson plans and enrichment activities
- Modify curriculum based on student interests and learning outcomes
- Evaluate effectiveness of activities and adjust as needed
- Provide recommendations for program improvement and curriculum development
- Collaborate with team members to enhance instructional strategies
