Job Description

Work Schedule
  • Part-time position
  • Monday-Friday, after school hours 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Occasional staff meetings or training days Teacher requirements Education Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related field preferred) Experience Requirement
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience working with children or youth(examples: tutoring, daycare, summer camp, school aide, after-school programs) Basic Requirements
  • Background check (Live Scan / fingerprint clearance)
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Job Responsibilities (Duties)
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of students during after-school hours
  • Support students with homework and academic activities
  • Manage student behavior using positive discipline strategies
  • Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
  • Communicate with program staff, school staff, and parents when needed
  • Maintain attendance records and daily program documentation
  • Follow school district or program policies and safety procedures
  • Assist in organizing group activities, games, and special events
  • Design and develop age-appropriate lesson plans and enrichment activities
  • Modify curriculum based on student interests and learning outcomes
  • Evaluate effectiveness of activities and adjust as needed
  • Provide recommendations for program improvement and curriculum development
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance instructional strategies
  • Bilingual ability is a plus (e.
g., English/Spanish/Chinese/Korean)
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
