Position:

Extended Day Critical Skills Alternate

Location:

Mountain View Elementary School Evaluated by: Principal/Assistant Principal

Employment Term:

Instructional Term for Students, As Needed

Qualifications:

Holds a West Virginia Professional Certificate endorsed for elementary education or special education at the grade levels appropriate for this assignment (grades K-5). Regular employment status at the assigned school preferred.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for critical skills instruction for students struggling with reading and/or mathematics to include:

Utilization of a computer-based instructional component

Teacher led small group instruction to enhance reading fluency and comprehension or address specific obstacles identified through diagnostic assessment

Instruction on mathematics facts, skills or concepts to reinforce classroom learning

Maximum Participation:

Maximum of 2 Hours Weekly, Schedule To Be Determined By School

Salary Range:

Hourly Rate

Effective Employment Date:

2026-27 School Year
