Provides instruction in mathematics courses in alignment with CGCC's college goals and learner-centered instructional philosophy, as well as with CGCC's Math Division Vision and Mission

Mission The Chandler-Gilbert Community College Mathematics Division will achieve our vision by teaching inclusively and engaging, challenging, and empowering students through actively exemplifying the joy, beauty, and utility of mathematics. Essential Functions Supervises and instructs a population of students in a classroom setting; develops written syllabi/course outlines and course materials; evaluates knowledge of subject matter taught and monitors students' scholastic records; prepares and grades assignments and exams, Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A master's degree or higher in the teaching field

  • The following course titles and keywords meet the requirements for graduate credit: Mathematics, probability, statistics, applied mathematics, actuarial science, operations research, decision sciences, mathematics education, physics, engineering, or computer science courses with significant mathematical content.
Desired Qualifications Proficiency using varied and interactive student-focused pedagogies to enrich students' mathematical learning experience. Prioritizes instruction that is guided by a philosophy focused on developing students' procedural fluency, problem solving abilities, and deep conceptual understanding of mathematics.
