Job Description

North Florida College is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to join our Mathematics Department as a full-time faculty member. This is a teaching-focused position dedicated to excellence in instruction, student engagement, and academic success. The successful candidate will teach a 15-credit-hour load per semester during the fall and spring terms, primarily in first- and second-year college mathematics courses and general education mathematics. Faculty are expected to demonstrate instructional innovation, effective use of educational technology, and a commitment to serving diverse learners in multiple delivery formats. This position emphasizes teaching excellence and student support rather than research responsibilities. Below are listed the primary tasks identified for this position. The duties articulated, though not exhaustive, indicate the majority of the functions assigned to this position. Other duties may be assigned based on institutional need. Teach first- and second-year mathematics and general education mathematics courses. Deliver instruction in face-to-face, online, and HyFlex modalities. Utilize instructional technology to enhance student learning and engagement. Maintain regular office hours. Participate in curriculum development, assessment of student learning outcomes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Engage in departmental and institutional service activities. Support the College's mission of providing accessible, high-quality education in a supportive academic environment. During the interview process, candidates will be required to deliver a teaching demonstration utilizing instructional technology EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in mathematics or Master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in mathematics. All qualifications must meet accreditation standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching first- and second-year college mathematics. Experience teaching general education mathematics courses. Experience teaching in face-to-face, online, and HyFlex formats. Demonstrated commitment to student success, retention, and inclusive teaching practices. The start date for this position will be August of 2026.
Pay:
$39,367.45 - $55,203.63 per year
