John Wesley Young Research Instructorship:
Instructors teach three ten-week courses typically distributed over three of the four Dartmouth terms. Sometimes teaching can be arranged in two terms allowing the remaining two for research. Teaching opportunities span the full spectrum of undergraduate and graduate courses. Instructors usually teach at least one course in their own specialty. Connections with current departmental research interests (geometry, algebra and number theory, low-dimensional geometry, functional analysis, combinatorics, and applied math) are valued. Initial appointment is for 24 months, effective July 1, 2026. Decisions concerning a third-year extension will be made by September 2027 and if granted will continue the contract for an additional 12 months. This appointment is not renewable beyond the third year. Annual salary last year was $68,000 and will increase slightly for 2026-2027. To initiate an application go to mathjobs.org -Position ID:
